Aslihan’s grandmother planned a forced marriage for her at 17. Her family brought her to Canada, where she blossomed, refusing to accept this fate. Inspired by her own opportunities, Aslihan fights for the 12 million girls facing the same destiny. Through social media and her eco-friendly candle company, she funds scholarships and educates girls. Her non-profit, LEAP Global Voices, aims to empower children worldwide with the tools to choose their own futures.

Aslihan, an Executive Administrator at a Children’s Hospital, defied a forced marriage by embracing her own future. Inspired by her mother’s move to Canada, Aslihan now fights for 12 million girls facing the same destiny. Self-taught photographer, video editor, website builder; founded a candle company, using profits to fund scholarships for girls worldwide. A dedicated cat mom (Cookie), avid traveller, and the founder of LEAP, a non-profit offering educational resources to refugees, empowering children through education.
